Just
tick the workshop(s) you're interested in, give us your
details, and we'll be in touch.
Would
you like a free workshop?
The National Student Drama
Festival works throughout the year to give student groups
the chance to learn from working theatre professionals.
Our National Workshop
Programme is designed to support and develop your theatre
skills, in whatever area you would like input or
inspiration. You tell us what you would like to do, and we
will do our best to find an experienced theatre professional
who can help you to do it.
“Good variety, excellent
leaders. Excellent!”
Choose from workshops in
acting, writing, directing, devising, voice, physical
theatre, design, marketing, Shakespeare, comedy, play,
staging, musical theatre, lighting, sound... or anything
else you'd like. Just ask. All you need to provide is a
room, and 15 to 30 participants.
“Invaluable information for free”
The NSDF
do not charge for Workshops. They can take place throughout
the year, anywhere in the UK. When it is possible we may be
able to invite other groups from your area who are
interested in the same work: one of the most exciting and
fruitful aspects of the Festival is the cross-pollination of
ideas between peers. With larger groups we may be able to
stay in an area for longer, and even run parallel sessions.
Since September 2004, we've run sessions in Belfast,
Londonderry, Leeds, Edinburgh, Stirling, Stoke-On-Trent,
Glasgow, Cambridge, Warwick, Durham, St. Andrews, London,
Leicester, Manchester, Swansea, Aberystwyth and Bristol, and
we’d love to come to you too.
“very well organised, excellent ideas, very friendly
workshop”
The
demand for these sessions is high, and for our 2006– 2007
season of workshops, we’re regretfully having to limit
ourselves to being hosted by university-aged groups, i.e.
18+. However, if you represent a group whose members are
younger than this, we’d like, where possible, to invite you
along to a session. Contact us and we’ll try and accommodate
you. If you'd like us to visit you in 2006- 2007, please
fill in this form or email
workshops@nsdf.org.uk
“Excellent! Great personalities made the workshop very
relaxed and enjoyable”
In your
email, please include your name and phone number, the name
of your group, and the institution you're from. We'll get in
touch with you and discuss your needs.
